To mark “Hello", the national year of communication, we are launching a new website for parents and carers which emphasises the positive role they can play in helping their baby to develop communication skills. NEW support for communities and local services

Reading project boosts library membership

As a result of running our Young Readers Programme, 77% of libraries have reported increased footfall from children and their families. Links between local schools and libraries have been strengthened with over 90% of libraries believing they will work more with their local school as a result of the programme. Authors call for moratorium on library closures
